I did a purple money piece on my daughter's Locs for her birthday.
Side note: One reason I highly dislike doing color on Locs, long longs especially is the amount of product it takes. You have to make sure the hair is thoroughly saturated to ensure an even and efficient color. Professional lightener is not cheap so when it comes to loc color it's not gonna be cheap. A lot of people don't understand that fact. Besides that it takes a certain level of skill to color locs without damaging them. Locs take longer than loose natural hair to process and are more susceptible to damage as well. The time it takes to properly rinse and shampoo out the lightener, then depositing and rinsing out Of whatever color, deep conditioning and sealing the cuticle whew! I could go on but I digress. I advise people to get their hair colored before they start their loc journey because of these reasons. Loc color is a hassle. Yesterdays price Is not today's price €)

It’s not rocket science! Stop putting heavy products on Locs yal. Hair doesn’t need gel, wax, or pomade, etc to loc. It’s all in the technique and upkeep. If you find a knowledgeable stylist and make sure you’re doing your part at home in between visits, your hair will thrive, locked or loose natural.

Stop putting all these products in your Locs then wonder why you’re having issues. Your hair doesn’t need products to Loc. If you are one of those people who worry about your retwist “lasting”, or you have to shampoo often due to sweat or your work environment or if you have scalp issues and need to shampoo often your best option is interlocs or sister locs. Yal just dont understand how important it is to let that dead weight go. This is one reason some of yals locs are thicker at the ends than they are towards the mid shaft. Let that dead weight go as your locs mature and grow out. Its only weighing you down
