So you want color? Where do you start?

I suggest that you look online for inspiration. Pinterest, IG color pages etc. For instance, if you’re looking for blondes, search for “blondes on dark skin” “ , blondes for skin with red undertones”, “ blondes on olive skin”…and so on. Now, grab several of those pics, even if you don’t see anyone that looks like you.

Next, scout your colorist. Look at their before and after pics. If you already have one in mind, that’s half the battle. Now, schedule your consultation. This is the important part. Have a list of questions ready and DON’T be afraid to ask whatever you want to know. We’re the professionals and we’re ready to share. The consultation is like first date. It will determine whether there will be a second date👀 for both parties. The “strand test” is going to help determine this. The strand test is our friend.

There has to be a realistic expectation and an achievable outcome. So what happens if your strand test reveals that your black rinse from a year ago is still lurking?
