This is a long one because the last week has been one I'll never forget.
After 36 years behind the chair in Illinois, I worked my final week there. Trying to put into words what that chapter has meant to me is nearly impossible. To every client who trusted me with your hair, your stories, your milestones, and your lives... thank you. You've been so much more than appointments on my calendar. You've become friends, family, and a huge part of who I am. I will carry those memories with me forever.
Then, just as one chapter closed, Mother Nature reminded us how quickly life can change.
Thank you to everyone who has checked in after last week's EF3 tornado in the Fox Valley. ❤️ My family is safe, our house is standing, and the salon is okay. We lost quite a few trees and have some fence and yard repairs ahead of us, but we know how fortunate we are.
Many of our neighbors are facing so much more. Entire neighborhoods and businesses around Doty Island, downtown Menasha, and Neenah have been devastated. They have a long road ahead, and they deserve the space to recover.
Beginning this week, I'll be back in the salon in Menasha. If you have an appointment, I have one small favor to ask: **Please take Highway 441 and come straight down Racine Street to the salon whenever possible.**
I know we're all curious to see the damage, but the best way we can help right now is by staying out of the way. Let's avoid adding extra traffic through the hardest-hit neighborhoods so residents, emergency crews, utility workers, and local businesses have the room they need to rebuild and heal.
To my Illinois family... thank you for 36 incredible years.
To my Wisconsin family... thank you for your kindness, your patience, and your support during this past week.
Here's to new beginnings, stronger communities, and taking care of one another. ❤️

Has menopause changed your hair texture and now your cut isn’t working?
You’re not imagining it. Hormonal changes can shift your hair’s density, texture, and growth pattern, and the cut that used to behave can suddenly feel flat, frizzy, puffy, or just harder to style.
This is exactly where a texture-aware cut matters:
✷ shaping that supports your new texture (instead of fighting it)
✷ movement and balance so it lays better day-to-day
✷ a finish that works with your styling habits, not against them
One note so expectations are clear: I’m a color specialist, and I only cut hair for my existing color clients. That’s how I keep my focus where I do my best work - creating healthy, polished color and the cut that complements it.
If you’re already a color client and your hair has changed, mention it at your next appointment and we’ll adjust your cut to match what your hair is doing now. Or become a color client by booking an appointment at www.TabethaBryant.com!

One thing about me? I’m probably always going to tell you the truth about your hair.
Even when the truth is, “Nope, not in one appointment.”
Even when the truth is, “Your hair is tired and we need a better plan.”
Even when the truth is, “I know the picture is pretty, but your real life matters more.”
That’s not me being difficult. That’s me caring more about the health of your hair than a quick fix.
I’ve built my business around real conversations, realistic plans, and results that actually work for your life. Because most of us do not have time for high maintenance hair that looks great for five minutes and then becomes another thing to fight with in the mirror.
So yes… I may be a little bit of a Hair Bully.
But in the most loving, protective, “I’m trying to save you from regret” kind of way.
And honestly? My people appreciate that.

My hair feels dry, frizzy, or damaged… but I still want color.
You’re not asking for too much. You can have beautiful color and healthier hair with a customized plan that prioritizes hair health.
If your hair has been feeling rough, brittle, or constantly frizzy, it usually means we need to adjust one (or more) of these:
➜ The products and color I choose for your hair because not every color works the same on every hair type.
➜ How we protect the hair during the service (bond-building and targeted treatments matter)
➜ What your hair needs after (moisture, repair, smoothing, or all three depending on your hair)
My goal is never “color at any cost.” It’s healthy, shiny hair with color that looks polished and feels better than when you walked in.
If you want color but your hair needs a little extra support, book a New Guest package at www.TabethaBryant.com.
My New Guest appointments are all-inclusive, so once we create your plan, everything we need is built in - custom color, the right protection and treatments, and a finish that leaves your hair looking better and feeling healthier.
Doing my own hair like I have somewhere to be.

Do you know how to keep your blonde from turning yellow or brassy?
Here are my top real life tips (the ones that actually move the needle):
1) Filter your water (especially if you have well water).
If your water stains your shower or toilet, it can stain your blonde too. A filtered showerhead can help.
2) Turn down the heat.
High heat from blow dryers and irons can “toast” blonde hair and make it look warmer fast. Use heat protectant and keep your tools at a moderate temperature.
3) Avoid smoke exposure.
Cigarette smoke (and heavy smoke in general) can cling to hair and leave a yellow cast over time.
4) Prep your hair before swimming.
Wet your hair with clean water before the pool so it absorbs less chlorine. After swimming, use a clarifying or swimmer’s shampoo.
5) Watch your products.
Some shampoos and styling products can build up and shift your tone. Especially lower quality ones or anything that leaves a heavy residue.
Why didn’t I list purple shampoo first?
Because it’s a tool, not a solution. Used too often or too soon, it can make blondes look dull, muddy, or even interfere with the tone your stylist created. I typically recommend waiting 4 to 6 weeks after your appointment, then using it about once a week (unless I tell you otherwise based on your blonde).
If your blonde keeps going warm no matter what you do, it’s usually fixable - we just need to pinpoint the cause. Book an appointment here...

Have you had a bad salon experience and now the idea of sitting in a chair again makes you anxious?
You’re not alone, and you don’t have to jump straight into a full service. We can start with a simple, face-to-face consultation to talk through what happened, what you want now, and what’s realistically possible.
Here’s what you can expect from me:
✧ A small, private salon suite with a calm, low-pressure vibe
✧Honest guidance on what we can do now vs. what may take time
✧A clear plan (and if I’m not the right fit, I’ll help point you to the specialist you need)
If you want to get to know me first, feel free to do a little scrolling on my website and social pages. Then, when you’re ready, book A Consultation First through my website www.TabethaBryant.com.

If your highlights are growing out weird, it’s not just you "being picky.”
When highlights grow out harsh, stripey, or uneven, it’s usually because of the way the color was originally placed and it wasn’t designed for a soft transition. The result is that obvious line as your hair grows and suddenly you feel like you need an appointment sooner than you planned.
Here’s what I look for when I’m fixing it:
⭐︎Placement that blends instead of creating “bands”
⭐︎A softer root transition so regrowth isn’t abrupt
⭐︎Balanced dimension so it looks natural, not blocky
⭐︎A realistic maintenance plan based on your hair and your schedule
The goal is highlights that look beautiful on day one and still look polished weeks later.
If your highlights are growing out in a way you don’t love, book a New Guest color package at www.TabethaBryant.com and we’ll build a grow-out strategy that actually makes sense for you.
