We’re looking for a NJ licensed cosmetologist (licensed 3+ years) who is passionate about:

~ Hair extensions ✨
~ Hair loss solutions like toppers - or as we like to call it - crowns 👑

We provide ongoing advanced education in:
~ Sew-in extensions for all hair types
~ Mesh integration
~ Meshless integration
~ Temporary crowns

📋 Salon / Front Desk Coordinator
We’re also looking for a professional, client-focused coordinator to be the welcoming face and voice of our salon.

This role includes:
~ Learning about our niche services
~ Managing our booking & POS system (training provided)
~ Using scripts to handle client communication smoothly
~ Enjoying at-cost salon services 🙌🏼

Don’t let your extensions give themselves away!

Avoid these mistakes 👇🏼

🛑 STOP placing everyone’s extensions on the same part of their head. You should choose the placement of each row based on the shape of your clients’ head, where they part their hair, where they need the most coverage, & the different ways they style it (high pony tail or low? Dutch braids parted straight down the middle? Pin straight, iron curled, or natural curl?)

✨Avoid cramming too much hair into a single row!

This often leads to poor blending, especially for clients with natural curls, layers that sit like a shelf, or a heavy face frame from a side part.

Skipping multiple, lighter rows forces you to overwork the client’s natural hair—defeating the goal of keeping it healthy and allowing it to grow in beautifully.

Instead, spread the wefts across more rows with less hair in each to mirror the client’s natural density and texture.

✂️ CUSTOMIZE each haircut! Stop cutting extensions the way you’d cut natural hair & approach it by customizing the shape. Focus on creating movement while visualizing the shape

⚠️HAVING YOUR TOOLS AT 400+ DEGREES DOESN’T CURL YOUR HAIR BETTER⚠️

Doing that is only going to cause more damage (and can even turn your hair yellow!)

Your hot tools should be somewhere between 320-360 degrees… and I promise, your curls will be just as beautiful.

Make sure you use a thermal protectant beforehand too. My favorite is The Glossing Spray from \@‌unite_hair

Whether it’s your natural hair or hair extensions, keep the temperatures low and your hair will thank you in the long run.

If you’ve been here for a little while, then you already know that basketball is a huge part of my life… so how does that work when wearing hair extensions?

Nothing will stop you from sweating, but using dry shampoo BEFORE your workout can help 1. Absorb some of it and 2. Keep it smelling good 😉

These are the key areas I recommend spraying:

-at your part

-about an inch off your part on both sides

-the crown area (where the hair splits all funny & weird 🫠)

-your hairline when your hair is pulled away from your face

-your hairline when pulled away from the back of your neck

Afterwards just comb through your hair with your fingers & put it in a high pony, low pony, or braid!

Bonus tip: ALWAYS use a SCRUNCHIE and NEVER a hair tie!

Then you’re all set to KILL IT! 💪🏼
