We are doing Anti-aging/Brightening treatments on her and the work if showing! She has deep set wrinkles around the lips and brows, so it will take a bit to smooth those out l. We've done a series of Retinol Peels that are not too invasive for the weather we've been having, but just check out the results we've been able to obtain in 3months! Let's talk SPF & why it's important to wear your SPF DAILY!✨️Read full details below👇🏻

✨️ Applying Sunscreen daily helps protect the skin from the Sun's harmful UVA & UVB rays, and it also helps prevent the growth of Skin Cancer and Premature Skin Aging

✨️Ultraviolet A (UVA) Rays: Most common; cause premature aging of the skin (ex.wrinkles)
Ultraviolet B (UVB) Rays: Most dangerous; cause sunburns

✨️ A sunscreen’s sun protection factor (SPF) indicates how much protection your sunscreen offers against UV radiation. Sunscreens with an SPF of at least 30 blocks 97% of the sun’s harmful rays

There are 2 types of sunscreen that help protect your skin against UV rays, and those are PHYSICAL SUNSCREEN and CHEMICAL SUNSCREEN

🌞PHYSICAL SUNCREEN (Mineral Based)
- Active ingredients Zinc Oxide & Titanium Dioxide
- Effective immediately after application
- Minerals sit on top of your skin to create a reflective barrier
- Minerals reflect and bounce off UV rays away from your skin
☀️CHEMICAL SUNCREEN
- Active ingredients Oxybenzone, Octinoxate, Octisalate, Avobenzone, Homoslate, Octocrylene
- Takes 20 minutes after application to become effective
- Absorbs into your skin to form a chemical layer
- Chemicals absorb UV rays, and then chemicals break down and release the energy as heat

With that being said, I always tend to recommend a Physical Suncreen to all of my clients here at the Spa as it is more effective although some Physical Sunscreens can create a whitish/purplish cast on the skin, rest assured it is the Minerals sitting on top of the skin creating a protective barrier ☺️ I hope this information helps you realize the importance of wearing SPF daily to protect your beautiful skin! 💜
