As children we were always creating, crafting, baking, gardening, canning and cooking with our parents and grandparents. Later this would expand into creting family recipes with little unique touches. There is something incredibly satisfying about creating a freshly ground batch of nettle powder and seeing that rich, vibrant emerald-green color.
This past month, we harvested stinging nettles by hand right here at Beloved Acres Farm, carefully selecting tender plants at their peak. The nettles were slowly dried to help preserve their natural color and quality, then finely processed into a beautiful powder that looks as fresh as the fields it came from.
Every step—from harvest to drying to grinding—was completed on our farm with great care and attention to detail. Seeing the final product reminds us why we love growing and processing our own herbs.
We are especially excited because this fresh batch of nettle powder will be finding its way into several new products and projects we have been working on behind the scenes. We can’t wait to share them with you soon.
For now, we’re simply admiring this gorgeous emerald-green powder and celebrating another successful harvest season.
