On 2/27/2026 at 5:49 pm Hambden Fire Department along with automatic mutual aid from Chardon Fire Dept. - Ohio, Middlefield Fire Department, Leroy Twp. Fire Department, Montville Fire Rescue and Munson Fire Department were dispatched to a residential structure fire on Cutts Rd in Hambden Township.

Crews arrived on scene at 5:51 pm to find a working fire in a 2 story house and all occupants out of the structure. The fire was declared under control at 6:23 pm and crews remained on the scene until 8:47 pm. No civilian or firefighter injuries were reported. The fire was ruled accidental and working smoke detectors were present in the home.

Thanks to our auto aid departments for their assistance and to Hambden Twp Road Department for closing the road during this incident.
