My man from Arkansas was super stoked on catching his first Northern Pike. Couldn’t be more pumped that we made it happen and this bad boy pulled back.

Pike are such an underrated species to target. Their eat will startle you and they are nothing but attitude. If you haven’t fished for pike on the fly, I assure you it will live up to the hype.

Wow these pike have woken up… it has been a lot of pike and big smallies that don’t care about bite wire.

September has been super fun so far and I am super stoked that Chris got to experience it. Throwing big flies and putting brutes in the net like this is so much fun. With a great forecast, this month is going to be amazing.

Not so smallie… this was the biggest smallmouth that has seen my net.

With the changing of the seasons comes some hungry, aggressive apex predators. If you aren’t a fan of the Northern Pike, then you may be missing out. They come out of no where and their eat will startle any angler. Pike require wire and they pull back… what’s not to love.

Anything is possible.

Absolutely love the smile from one of the best guys out there. With low water we were able to sight fish these smallies on top water… and the good vibes lasted all day.

When the rivers are too high and fast… we hit the lakes and beat up on some Largemouth on top water. The eat from this one was super sweet.

So fortunate to get to spend the day on my favorite section with my main man Bart ( ) and is son Andrew. It had been a while since Andrew had fished, but apparently it is like riding a bike. Tons of top water eats and smiles all day. It sincerely doesn’t get better than this!

Things have been crazy busy at Milwaukee River Fly Fishing and the river has been on fire. Whether it has been individuals that are new to fly fishing or those whom have been casting a fly rod for years, fish have been caught and trips have been amazing.

August is a remarkable month to cast some flies and we still have availability for you to take advantage of the rest of the summer.
