✨ THIS is why I’m so excited about hair integration.

I have naturally very fine, thin hair that’s flat, stringy and notoriously difficult to style or hold a curl. So I decided to demonstrate an integrated hair topper on myself—and this is basically my dream hair. 🤍

For this video, I pulled my own natural hair through the integrated topper so you can see how beautifully the two blend together. 💖This is a demonstration and the topper has not been fully sewn, beaded and custom-contoured to my head yet—but even unfinished, the difference is incredible.

Unlike traditional extensions that primarily add hair through the lengths, an integrated topper can add density where many women actually need it most: the top, crown and upper sides of the head.

This beautiful transformation was created with just ONE row of extensions + a custom color makeover.

Her natural hair is extremely silky, baby-fine and low density. Through the mids and ends, you could actually see through the hair—and because her texture is so soft and straight, even spending time curling it rarely paid off. The curl would disappear almost as quickly as we created it.

Our goal wasn’t huge “extension hair.”

We wanted natural-looking fullness, movement and beautiful hair that was easier to style.

This client came to me in Merced, California shortly after receiving her very first set of extensions. She had hoped for a dimensional brunette + bright blonde balayage look, but once everything was installed, much of that contrast disappeared.

The extension hair itself was beautiful and the workmanship was good — we simply needed to make the color feel more like her.

We removed the extensions, separated everything, kept the dimensional pieces that were already working, and added significantly more bright blonde for contrast and movement. I also highlighted and lowlighted her natural hair so it flowed seamlessly into the extensions instead of sitting separately from them.

And one unexpected bonus: we were able to reduce some of the overall weight. She immediately noticed how much lighter and more comfortable her extensions felt. 🙌
