With summer here, please remember your UV protection. Sunscreen, hats, long sleeves, whatever works for you! Don’t forget your ears, lips, scalp, hands, and neck when applying.

🧬 UV damages your DNA, this causes mutations, premature aging, and increased risk of skin cancer.
🧴100% mineral based formulas are my preferred choice. This is because they use zinc oxide or titanium dioxide as a UV filter. (Benzophenone is the ingredient to avoid when looking at sunscreens). Mineral based sunscreens provide instant protection, no wait time. They are good for sensitive or acne prone skin and don’t break down as fast as a chemical sunscreen.

☀️ Don’t be afraid of the sun, it’s good for you in moderation. 5-15 minutes of direct sunlight in the morning is known to regulate your circadian rhythm (your body’s internal clock). It provides vitamin D, which aids in, supporting your bone and muscle health, regulating your blood pressure, regulating your immune system, maintaining the health of your blood vessels, and regulating your blood sugar.
