You don’t need a vacation. You need recovery.
Somewhere along the way, we’ve convinced ourselves that rest is something we earn after we’ve finished everything on the list.
The problem is that the list never ends.
Many of the things we blame on aging can be made worse when we’re constantly running on stress:
✨ Increased inflammation
✨ Impaired skin barrier function
✨ Dehydration
✨ Poor sleep
✨ Dull, tired-looking skin
Your nervous system wasn’t designed to stay in a constant state of “go.”
It needs moments of recovery woven throughout the week.
A quiet walk.
A few minutes in the sun.
An afternoon without notifications.
A facial.
A deep breath before rushing into the next thing.
Small moments matter.
Because healthy skin isn’t just created by what you put on it.
It’s also influenced by how you care for yourself.
At Encore, we believe skincare should be more than a treatment.
It should be an opportunity to slow down, reset, and give your mind and body a chance to recover.
Where time stops,
and relaxation begins…

Summer is tough on skin.
More sun.
More heat.
More sweat.
More travel.
And all of that can leave skin feeling irritated, dehydrated, inflamed, and more reactive than usual.
When skin starts feeling stressed, I focus on three things:
✧ Replenish hydration
✧ Support the skin barrier
✧ Calm inflammation
One of my favorite products this time of year is Le Mieux’s O2 Calming Gel.
It’s lightweight, cooling, and incredibly soothing for skin that feels overheated, irritated, or depleted after a day in the sun.
I often recommend it for:
☀️ Post-sun exposure
☀️ Redness
☀️ Dehydration
☀️ Sensitive skin
☀️ Travel-stressed skin
Think of it as your skin’s summer first-aid kit.

Why do your eyes look tired… even when you’re not?
Most people assume it’s just a lack of sleep, but the eye area is often the first place to show signs of stress, dehydration, and aging.
The skin around the eyes is thinner than the rest of the face, making it more vulnerable to:
✨ Puffiness
✨ Dehydration
✨ Fine lines
✨ Loss of firmness
✨ Dark circles
And while eye creams can help, sometimes the area needs a little extra support.
That’s why this month we’re offering a complimentary Cryo Eye Treatment when you book a Signature Facial with Kylie and mention “Cryo” when scheduling.
This cooling treatment combines Le Mieux’s Cryo Eye Mask with targeted serums to help reduce puffiness, boost hydration, and leave the eye area looking brighter, smoother, and more refreshed.
Because sometimes looking more rested isn’t about getting more sleep—it’s about giving your skin the care it needs.
To book, schedule a Signature Facial with Kylie before the end of June and mention “Cryo.”

Have you ever climbed into bed feeling exhausted and thought,
“I’ll just wash my face extra well tomorrow.”
It’s happened to all of us.
The problem is your skin does most of its repair work while you’re sleeping, and if sunscreen, makeup, sweat, oil, and environmental buildup are still sitting on the skin, they can interfere with that process.
Before you spend money on another serum, moisturizer, or treatment, make sure you’re doing this one thing first...
Actually removing everything from your skin at the end of the day.
That’s why I recommend double cleansing at night.
Step 1:
Start with an oil cleanser to break down makeup, SPF, excess oil, and environmental buildup.
Step 2:
Follow with your regular cleanser to leave the skin thoroughly clean and balanced.
This simple habit helps your nighttime products work more effectively and allows your skin to focus on what it does best while you sleep: repair, regenerate, and restore.
Do you double cleanse at night?

Your skin doesn’t need perfection.
It needs consistency. ✨
Healthy glowing skin is rarely the result of one treatment, one expensive product, or one “perfect” routine.
It’s built in the small things you do consistently over time:
✨ Cleansing your skin at night
✨ Wearing SPF daily
✨ Supporting your skin barrier
✨ Staying hydrated
✨ Managing stress
✨ Getting enough sleep
✨ Using products your skin actually tolerates
In a world constantly telling you to do more, buy more, exfoliate more, and chase instant results… sometimes the most powerful thing you can do for your skin is slow down and stay consistent.
Beautiful skin is not built overnight.
It’s built gently, patiently, and intentionally.
And while your home care routine matters tremendously, monthly professional facials can help support collagen production, improve skin health, maintain a strong skin barrier, and drastically slow visible signs of aging over time.
Consistency in the treatment room matters too.
That’s exactly why we created our membership program — to make professional skincare more approachable, sustainable, and easy to maintain year-round. ✨

Is your skincare in the right order? ✨
Layering your products correctly can make a huge difference in how your skin looks, feels, and responds to your routine.
Think of it this way: your products should go from thinnest to thickest so each layer can properly absorb and do its job. Hydration, treatment products, and SPF all work better when applied in the correct order.
Swipe through for our simple A.M. + P.M. layering guide to help you get the most out of your skincare routine.
Save this post for later and send it to a friend who’s never quite sure what goes first. ✨

Your sunscreen should protect your skin… not expose it to ingredients you’d rather avoid. ☀️
Not all SPF formulas are created equal, and learning how to read ingredient labels can make a big difference — especially if you struggle with sensitive skin, acne, inflammation, or are simply trying to make more mindful choices for your health.
A few ingredients we personally recommend being cautious with:
• Oxybenzone
• Octinoxate
• Homosalate
• Octocrylene
• Parabens
These ingredients have raised concerns ranging from skin irritation and sensitivity to hormone disruption and environmental impact.
Instead, we typically recommend looking for mineral-based sunscreens with ingredients like:
✨ Zinc Oxide
✨ Titanium Dioxide
Mineral SPF tends to be gentler on sensitive skin while still offering excellent broad-spectrum protection.
And remember — sunscreen is only one part of sun protection. Hats, sunglasses, shade, and being mindful of peak UV hours all matter too.
