Greece: Opening Ceremony of 2026 Winter Olympic Games

Friday evening marked the opening ceremony of the Winter Olympic Games in Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo, where national delegations paraded in Cortina led by the Greek athletes.

The Greek delegation was the first to enter, comprised of AJ Ginnis and Maria Eleni Tsiovolou (alpine ski racing) along with cross-country skiers Apostolos Angelis, Konstantina Charalampidou and Nefeli Tita (the flag-bearer).

SHRED COUNTDOWN - FOOD PREP

One of the most important things you can do to be successful on the shred is to prep your food in advance. Having shred approved meals and snacks on hand will not only save you time and money, but it will encourage you to make healthy choices! These are a few of my favorite meal prep ideas.

🥕 Clean and cut your fruits and vegetables in advance. (I cut some into smaller pieces for snacking and others I clean but leave whole for soups, salads and stir fry.)

🥘 Make a large pot of shred approved soup.

🥗 Make salads-in-a-jar. They will last up to five days in the refrigerator and are a great lunch or dinner on the go! Protein packed salads with lentils or beans can be made in advance and are a great plant-based lunch.

🥚 Hard boil eggs for a quick protein filled snack or meal.

🥣 Overnight oats in jars make a quick and delicious breakfast or snack.

🥄 Home-made hummus or black bean dip.

🍒 Protein balls made with complete protein powder and oatmeal, nut butters and dried fruit are a great way to pack in additional plant nutrition throughout the day!
