It’s been a minute since I’ve shared a picture of my work…

This sweet client came to me for a color correction.. and it was dark outside by the time we were done..

So, I took her pictures where the lighting is the best at night! In our color/laundry spot in the back of the salon 😂 (I had to climb on the counter on top of cupboards)

Was it ideal? No. Is my washer and dryer the background. Yes 😅. Did we laugh our butts off, and have a fun appointment all around? Absolutely!

I LOVE meeting new clients. I don’t typically find them from social media, they find me somehow though! And, I’m thankful that they do ☺️

My sweet grandma passed last Christmas Eve. I’m so blessed she was in our lives as long as she was. Her perfume is like a hug, and I wear it everyday..

Grief is hard during the holidays.

I am so thankful for this season in my life. My salon, my clients, my family, friends, and Pilates friends, my faith in God.

Merry Christmas friends… I’m sending you all a virtual hug.. Grateful for a busy December at the salon, now time to just relax ❤️

Hi 👋 I made a few changes to my page over the years, and honestly it’s a little hard for me to do the whole “social media” thing.. but alas, I’m a hairstylist first and foremost 😅

I took a long 2 year break from using any phone to book appointments (wild I know).. but I was also dealing with a lot behind the scenes. I solely relied on online booking, and email.

(I was completely overwhelmed. Being diagnosed with CPTSD meant I had no choice but to take several breaks, especially with my phone.)

Truthfully, I’m still working on having a good balance with my phone. But, things are getting easier.

I now have an amazing receptionist helping me get back on track 🥹 If you’d like to book an appointment, I’d love to see ya! I love all my clients, and I’m grateful for being your stylist ❤️

Ok… I’m annoyed that these costumes don’t fit 😂 But, I’m team hot dog always…

National Mental Health Day is important. But, to people that struggle with their own mental health- every second, minute and day is too ❤️

Having an illness you cannot see is just as hard as having an illness you can.

I was diagnosed with CPTSD, which as crushing as it was- it gave me a bit of relief to take more steps to heal my brain.

I don’t know if I’ll ever feel 100%. It kinda feels like my heart and body walks around with tiny paper cuts- it’s the best way I’ve heard CPTSD described, and it’s so true.

I’ve taken major steps back from social media. I no longer care for it, even though I know how important it is for my hair business… I get tired easily so I rest. I meditate. I get done in a day what I can. Some days are harder than others.

Im still very much behind the chair, doing what I love, and very slowly finding my groove.. (I’m so grateful for my salon, friends, clients that keep me going)

But, Pilates saved me. I annoyingly tell everyone how much I love it, they NEED to try it. Truthfully, movement of any kind on a regular basis is healing.

Pilates connects your mind to your body, reminds you to breathe. It’s the hour a day I have to just focus.

When my brain hit the lowest point, I signed up to learn how to teach. I needed to improve my memory. I needed to find some sort of voice again. I had NO desire to actually teach, or the confidence really.

Here I am teaching though at almost 40 🥹
My voice is shaky, I forget what I’m doing sometimes- but I kinda love it. I taught 4 classes today!

I have the chance to teach other people to breathe, to find their strength, to remind them how awesome they are for showing up for themselves. It’s beautiful.

**I may post from time to time, but I’m even giving myself grace with that too. I still want to show you the beautiful hair I do, and maybe a Pilates post- but I’m going to continue being offline at times. You can always reach me by email, online booking, or catch me in a class.
