Look👀 at a glance then ➡️swipe and look CLOSER! Do you see the marks ON the mannequin? This is from a student practicing on the microfoam tape on the mannequin and it means... she was working too heavy handed. Too deep. Which could hurt a client and could make the pigment color ash out grey and /or blur. Now think about the classes which have you working on a LIVE model on day 2 or even day 5😳. You need time to build muscle memory! More than days. There is much to be done on paper and synthetic skin and mannequins to PREPARE you for skin! @ Sassy Wink
How to sharpen your pencil✍🏻 These waterproof pull string pencils can be tricky to sharpen and have a bit of a learning curve. Learning how to sharpen them just right is the key to having crisp and fine lines when drawing the brow shape on your client. It helps both you and the client envision her shape with the LEAST amount of shock. Here is what you are aiming for as far as the length of pencil I like to have exposed and notice the direction of the sharpening blade as well as how I support the pencil as I sharpen😃 (just to demonstrate the angle and motion of the sharpening action😉)

Can you tell the strokes from the hairs???.... hint: there are a lot more strokes then there are hairs😬
after 2 years! Just how we like it to fade! It should just get lighter and lighter with time. With the right skin and the right technique, those strokes stay crisp for years. In some skin (like oily) they can fade out within 9 months to a year almost completely!
