A little nail myth reminder!
White spots ≠ calcium deficiency.
They’re usually from small trauma to the nail and will grow out over time.

I don’t share this to scare anyone or bash another tech.
I’m sharing it because your nail health matters, and most people don’t realize what’s happening under the product.

This client reached out to me because something immediately felt wrong after her nail service done by another tech.

When working with nail chemicals, primers, and enhancements, education matters. Knowing what products are safe, how they react with the natural nail, and when to stop a service can prevent serious damage and infection.

Not every unlicensed tech is unsafe, please don’t take this the wrong way.
But whether someone is licensed or not, they should be educated enough to understand the risks, the chemistry, and proper safety protocols. Being an insured provider also matters, because if something goes wrong and medical care is needed, there may be no protection for the client. In this case, my client was unable to file a claim to help cover her medical visit because the tech was not insured and had to pay out of pocket.

If something ever hurts, burns, or feels “off” speak up and get it checked. I’m glad that this client spoke up and told the tech NOT to apply any product on her pinky in this condition.
Pretty nails mean nothing if your natural nails are compromised.
