We’ve received a lot of calls and emails about the resurfacing project on Metairie Road. DOTD has provided us with the following information and will update it as the project moves forward:

🔹 Closure 1 – Full Closure

• Route Name: Westbound & Eastbound LA 611-9 (Metairie Rd)
• Start Date: Friday, August 8, 2025 at 6:00 PM
• End Date: Sunday, August 10, 2025 at 2:00 PM (Weather Permitting)
• Closure Type: Roadwork – Paving Operations
• Closure Category: Full Closure
• Location: Johnson St (Right Turn/Through lane only) between Athania Pkwy & Severn Ave
• Recurrence: Continuous full closure from 6 PM Friday to 2 PM Sunday for concrete pavement patching and related work
• Access: All driveways will remain accessible during construction

🔹 Closure 2 – Alternating Lane Closures

• Route Name: Eastbound & Westbound LA 611-9 (Metairie Rd)
• Start Date: Monday, August 11, 2025 at 9:00 AM
• End Date: Friday, August 15, 2025 at 4:00 PM (Weather Permitting)
• Closure Type: Roadwork – Asphalt and Concrete Pavement Patching
• Lanes Affected: Partial Closure – Both Left and Right Lanes (Alternating)
• Special Notes: Alternating lane closure throughout work period
• Location: From US 61 (Airline Dr) to Orleans/Jefferson Parish Line
• Recurrence: Daily alternating single lane closure from 9 AM to 4 PM, Monday through Friday, for asphalt patching, milling, overlaying, concrete patching, and related

Just when you think you're done or question with what you are doing for a living and you go the check the mail box. I mean this is so sweet to get a random card from a client with a nice note. However, they did tease me with the Hawaii picture on the front of it. 🤣🥰

P.S. We as people need to do this more often because getting mail just hits different than a text or not saying anything at all! JS!- hint hint to new generation!

Because of you I wouldn't be where I am at today 20 yrs later. You may not know but you mean so much to me. You have gone through the ups and downs of the life of Angie. I have seen my clientele go through life stages as well - all of school, marriage, babies, grand babies, great grand babies. Going through all the transitions of hair styles throughout the years has been crazy cool to see. Some I have even said to them in 20 yrs from now you are going to say to me "What the heck did we do to that hair back then"! 🤣
