Rhonda James, Owner/operator The Skin Shop was first opened in Metropolis Illinois in 2001. 15 years later, it is still going strong! come in and see our store.
We offer a variety of spa services. Facials, body treatments, hair removal, brow and lash tinting, faux lashes, and makeup applications. We have a plethora of health and beauty aids that are clean and free of artificial ingredients. Also visit our Urban/Herb and Spice Store for a wide variety of all-natural Herbs, Spices and Teas in bulk for cooking, crafting or health and wellbeing!
25 years ago I had a little party at Chiropractic Works at 805 Market St. Where I started The Skin Shop! Leila Lindquist Schubiger, Monica Williams Obermark, Barbara Ann Ferguson, DavidandBarbara Ball, Sandra Pfeifer. We're all in attendance. Thank you Leila for talking me into it and helping me get started. Happy 25 years to The Skin Shop!
The Skin Shop will be closed from December 21st until January 6th.
Tomorrow, December 20th, is our last day to be open before Christmas. We will be here from 9-3.

It's That Time of Year Again!

Thank you all for your kind and loving words. I was singing to my Mother when she passed over. My Daddy, all of her children, and grandchildren were present. Her youngest sister and eldest niece were also present. Also many mates of those attending were there for support. We are so BLESSED with FAMILY.
To all of the Skin Shop family, as most of you know, my Mother has been on long term palliative care for over two years with Multiple sclerosis. Since last Thursday our biological family has been on a vigil to see her through her transition from this life. I apologize if I have canceled your appointments. We are taking our schedule day by day. Please be patient as I navigate this very difficult time. Keep us in your prayers, especially my Daddy. I will be back in the Skin Shop when I get past this struggle. Love yuns all.

Now that it's officially spring, we will be putting out our Summer Milk Bath all the way through summer!!! It has rose powder with geranium, clary sage, and cedarwood essential oils giving it a relaxing soft feminine scent (in my opinion), but you'll just have to try it yourself to see. 🌹
We'll be closed Saturday, March 15th - Friday, March 21st. We'll be back in the shop on Saturday, March 22nd.
