In case you all are wondering where I've been...
I've started raising rabbits, in my Dad's honor. I miss him, and nothing will ever make that go away, but doing this makes me feel closer to the man that taught me so much.
If you want to follow our rabbitry page (there's gonna be way more adorable baby bun spam) it is Lagomorph Luxury Lodge
I'll be seeing some of you at Winter War 2026!

We're here at the Metropolis and Massac County Farmers Market on this GORGEOUS Saturday! Come see us!
They put us in the back because we were misbehaving! 😘
We're back!
I am pleased to announce that we will be returning to the Metropolis and Massac County Farmers Market THIS Saturday for the 2026 season! I can't wait to enjoy the delicious food, beautiful weather, and friendly faces. I have missed the other vendors and our customers tremendously.
It's been a long hiatus, and a lot has happened. Most of you know that I took time away from the shop to take care of my father during the last year of his life. He died on October 15th 2025. We lost my partner's mother in the spring of 2025. My husband was diagnosed with thyroid cancer. There was so much to deal with and the emotional burdens we faced were almost insurmountable, but we three have leaned on each other to make it out the other side.
Good things are happening, too. We've started raising meat rabbits! The one in the first video is Señor Elefante, and he is one of three bucks that will be fathering our lagomorph lineage.
The offspring won't be available this year, because our rabbits aren't old enough to breed until mid-August. Rabbits tend to gestate for approximately thirty days, which would bring us to September, and I wouldn't want to separate them from their mother for four-to-six weeks... So that puts us in November at the earliest. But! The spring litters will be available at next year's farmer's market.
I'm going to go off on a little tangent. Meat rabbits aren't just for eating, they can also make good pets! Elephant is a sweet boy and he likes affection, so long as you aren't picking him up off the ground. I'm hoping his temperament will be passed through to the kits he fathers with Daphne, his future mate.
Anyway, thank you for reading this. I can't wait to see you all at the market! 🖤

I regret to say this, but we won't be at the Metropolis and Massac County Farmers Market this morning. I'm not ready to do all of this. I thought I was. I thought it would be good for me, but it's too much responsibility at a time when I would like to just lay down and cry.
Next year. Next year, we will see you all again and have a good time in the sunshine. For now, I'm going to stay home and try to get my mind and my heart to agree on what direction to take.
Enjoy this photo of my Dad, when he was strong and proud. I miss him. 🖤
