Lip with lots of room in their tissue

If you’ve worked with me you have heard me talk about “room in your tissue” it is so important and helping you understand your lip Filler journey. When you have a lot of room in your tissue, it’s a blessing and a curse. The blessing you can get an amazing shape right off the bat. The downside is that it will take you more product to build Volume than someone else. Meaning your journey will be a little bit longer and more expensive however, you won’t have issues getting the shape you want and you’re super low risk for migration.
The way you can tell if you have room in your tissue or not is how many wrinkles you have in your lips. If you’re baseline texture is pretty wrinkly. It means there’s a lot of room to fill your base. If your tissue is smoother and more taught it means there’s not as much room. For patients who don’t have as much room, it’s harder to get a dramatic shape change, height and surface area right off the bat however you can get more plumpness right away and you can move to working with half syringes to continue to increase your height and surface area and work on your shape overtime where as somebody with room will more likely have to build with full syringes.

kysse + ashton
Here we injected a full syringe or restylane kysse using the Ashton technique to create this beautiful shape. First, we lifted the Cupid‘s bow to shorten the distance between the lip and the nose, giving a more useful appearance overall. Then we built out the tails on top, and pulled the bottom down into a round pouty shape with an overall 50/50 ratio.
this patient has a lot of room in her tissue (you can tell by the wrinkly texture) which enables her to get such a good shape on her first round however, it will take her more product to build sustainable Volume. This photo is immediately after and she is 30 to 40% more swollen than her final result. To keep this size as a final result, she would need to add at least another half syringe. The soonest you can build is 4 to 6 weeks.
