EVERYTHING YOU KNOW ABOUT DISSOLVING FILLER IS WRONG

Think dissolving filler means pain, one long appointment, and starting over? Let’s clear that up.

01 | “Dissolving filler is extremely painful.”
It can be uncomfortable—especially when treating sensitive areas like the lips. But it doesn’t have to be unbearable. We use topical numbing and injected lidocaine to maximize comfort throughout the process.

02 | “It can all be dissolved in one session.”
Not necessarily. Migrated or misplaced filler may require a step-by-step approach rather than trying to dissolve everything at once. We use ultrasound guidance to visualize the tissue and identify where filler is actually located, allowing for more precise and targeted treatment.

03 | “It’s not worth dissolving because I’ll just have to refill it.”
We disagree. Sometimes the best aesthetic result starts with taking a step back.

When filler has migrated, accumulated, or altered the natural movement of the lips or face, adding more filler can compound the problem. Dissolving can help restore a more natural foundation so that, if you choose to re-treat later, you can do so intentionally.

01 | You may be using the wrong neuromodulator
Botox, Dysport, Xeomin, and other neuromodulators are not identical. They have different formulations, diffusion characteristics, and dosing conventions. The right product should be selected based on your goals, treatment area, and individual response.

02 | The dilution may be off
Neuromodulators are reconstituted before injection. The concentration and volume used can affect how the product is delivered and how the treatment performs. Proper preparation and consistent technique matter.
