5 things that help me work faster as a nail tech!

1. Timer/stopwatch: actually tracking how long each process takes during the service helps me see where I’m losing time.

2. High Torque e-file: one that can actually maintain the speed you set, even under pressure. And ACTUALLY is moving the speed it says it’s going. I love the Saeyang Marathon K35 Mini.

3. High quality efile bits: sharper, more consistent bits = less time fighting through product. I love ! (Dc 𝘼𝙈𝘽𝙕)

4. Flash curing: being able to secure a design quickly makes a HUGE difference in my how long my processes take me. Also helps avoid bumping, and having to redo the design.

5. High quality prep tools: good prep tools make detailed work faster, cleaner, and more efficient. Good prep helps prevent lifting which can save time when your client comes back for a fill. I love ! (Dc: 𝘼𝙈𝘽𝙕)

Can we be honest about how expensive it’s getting to run a nail business? 😭

I keep seeing suite prices that are literally thousands of dollars a month, and then you still have to pay for products, supplies, insurance, booking software, utilities, marketing, taxes, equipment…..etc lol

I completely understand that suite owners have overhead too, and I’m not saying they shouldn’t make money.

But I DO think we need to have more honest conversations about what these prices actually mean for the average nail tech trying to build a business. 🤷🏻‍♀️
