Catholics do NOT worship the Virgin Mary.

Protestants often claim that Catholics worship Mary, but the burden is on them to produce one official Catholic Church document that commands or permits such worship. They can't because none exists.

Jeremiah 7 condemns the worship of a pagan goddess called the "Queen of Heaven." Catholics do not believe Mary is a goddess or divine. The Catholic Church has always taught that worship (adoration) belongs to God alone. Mary is honored because she is the Mother of God (Theotokos), the woman who gave birth to Jesus Christ, who is fully God and fully man.

The logic is simple:
• Mary is the mother of Jesus.
• Jesus is God.
• Therefore, Mary is the Mother of God.

Claiming that the title "Queen of Heaven" proves Catholics worship a pagan goddess is as illogical as claiming Jesus and Satan are the same person because both are called the "Morning Star" in Scripture. Sharing a title does not make two people identical.

Mary is honored because of who her Son is, not because she is a goddess. Every authentic Marian doctrine proclaims the truth about Jesus Christ, and worship belongs to God alone.
