This is my 11 year old daughter's virgin hair. In 2022, she was diagnosed with Graves Disease, which resulted in extremely elevated thyroid levels. She underwent radioactive iodine treatment about a month after being diagnosed.

Notice the lighter band in her hair. This was a direct result of her unknown thyroid diagnosis & later treatment.
