Hair extensions?

Volume, length, effortless hair flips… all the things.

But let’s be real: they don’t just happen.

Great extensions are like a good friendship—low drama, but they still need a little love.

So here are our non-negotiables (aka: the stuff that keeps your hair looking like that girl every day).

1. Wash with care

Your extensions are bougie bi***es. Treat them that way.

Use sulfate-free, extension-safe shampoo, and don’t scrub like you’re mad at your scalp. Keep it gentle, especially near the weft. Rough washing = loose bonds, tangling, and a bad time. Massage your scalp with your fingertips and let the water rinse through the ends like a peaceful little waterfall.

2. Brush gently and often

Think of brushing like your morning coffee—it needs to happen.

Use a loop brush or soft bristle brush made for extensions. Start at the ends and work your way up. Morning and night is ideal, especially before bed. It helps avoid matting and all the chaos that comes from ignoring it (I see you).

3. Dry them all the way

Hot take: going to bed with wet extensions is ✨ not the move ✨.

Damp wefts can cause mildew (yes, really), scalp irritation, and major tangling. Towel dry gently (no aggressive rubbing), then blow dry the roots and the wefts fully. After that, the rest can air dry if you’re into that low-key vibe.

4. Sleep smart

Your hair is living its best life—don’t ruin it at night.
Swap your pillowcase for satin or silk to reduce breakage and frizz. Then secure your hair in a loose braid or ponytail before bed. Boom—tangle-free mornings and a smoother wake-up routine.

5. Move-ups are a must

This one’s not up for debate. You have to come in every 6–8 weeks for move-ups. It keeps your extensions in the right place and protects your natural hair. Skipping them is where things start to go sideways. Don’t do it.
