Friday April 10th, our lives changed in an instant. While away from home, I got the call that every mother fears: "Your house is on fire and smoke is barreling out the windows" I rushed home to find the Middleton Fire Department and Canyon County Police fighting to save what they could.
My son is a hero—he acted quickly and got the kids out and to safety. By the grace of God, they are alive. That is the only thing that matters. My daughter saved our baby chick's and they even got the dog.
The Reality of our Loss:
The fire was devastating. It consumed the entire crawl space and tore up through the bedrooms. Because it was a rental, we will never be moving back. We didn't just lose our home; we lost every single possession we owned. We are now officially displaced and starting over with nothing but the clothes on our backs and each other.

How You Can Help:
We are so moved by the neighbors and friends who have already provided clothing and toiletries. Those immediate needs are MET. Now, we are facing the daunting task of finding a new semi-permanent home for our family. Starting over is a massive mountain to climb, and we are seeking donations to help us secure a new place to live and begin replacing everything our children lost.
🔗 If you feel led to help us rebuild our lives, please click the link in my bio to donate to our housing fund.

Thank you to the Thompson family, all our friends who have reached out to us and offered help, the first responders, and this incredible community. We are heartbroken to lose our home, but we are filled with gratitude for our lives. God is good, even in the middle of the smoke. 🤍
