Okayyyy but let’s talk about this COLOR! 👀🔥

I’m calling her Burnt Ember because she’s giving… 🔥🔥🔥 with a little 🍷 for good measure!

This is my signature style with the volume turned ALL the way up. A dimensional mix of fiery copper, rich burgundy, and those deeper w**e tones that hit differently every time the light catches them.

And yes… we got there with a little bit of EVERYTHING — permanent color, demi-permanent color AND lightener. Because why choose one when the hair is asking for all three?! 😂

I hate to say it but we are our own downfall for the department of education not wanting to fund our career any longer. Here’s why

1. Allowing students into schools that do not truly want to be cosmetologist. They join because it’s “easy” or mom and dad said they need to figure out a trade or something!

2. Schools are owned and run by business majors not cosmetologist. I worked for a school thats been open for almost 20 years and the owner never once went through the program she offers. Most schools are that way. They under pay the staff and therefore they cannot keep enthusiastic experienced workers! Instead they are training freshly licensed students to teach with no experience in the field.

3. Lack of good educators which relates to point 2

4. Lastly, we aren’t claiming our money so our industry appears to make thousands maybe millions less than what it actually produces. While trying to skip over taxes by not claiming tips you are forcing us to look like the average stylist lives in poverty!

The department of education is not getting a return on investment in the most minimal way which would be employment. Instead they are getting complaints about hair loss and lack of hair care knowledge. Students are complaining they dont learn enough in school and the list goes on.

Just some food for thought from someone who loves this industry but can honestly say we did this to ourselves

It hasn’t been a full year yet since God took you home. I haven’t sang or listened to this song since singing it at your funeral. I miss you more than i could ever verbally express. Wish i could shoot you one more i love you message and get one in return “love you too bro.” I’m not going to say gone too soon because God’s timing is gods timing! Fresh cape. Fresh tools. Fresh energy. I take sanitation seriously and double booking chips away at the time I need to reset my space properly. I’d rather slow down and keep you safe than rush through what’s important.

✨ 4. I need a mental moment between energies
Serving people all day means taking in a lot of energy. That quick reset between appointments helps me stay grounded, focused, and creatively present. It’s better for me and better for the next guest walking in.
