I am very saddened to say, after nearly 20 years living in this town, always feeling safe: that’s over . Sweet Melissa was robbed this am. This happened literally moments before my staff walked in. Thankfully, nobody was there when it happened. However, not only did they wipe out our cash register with change for the day, they also took all of our staff collected tips that we collect and split for them. They also took any of our change, but thankfully, they did not destroy anything else, we can still operate today as usual. We have already contacted Middletown PD, we will find out who this is. If anybody has an idea who this may be, in the wee hours of this morning, please let me know. Side door was broken into and broken. This is only going to get worse as the town continues to develop. * also, after nearly 10 years of having a storefront, this is our first break-in.
