Naomi Lane Dairy
Welcome to Naomi Lane Dairy. We are a small Dairy Goat farm, milking Nigerian Dwarf Goats.
Herd update 8/13/26 🐐 ❤️
We have great news! Thanks to our carful monitoring and treatment plan from our veterinarian, our girls are all on the mend!
They are all back to acting normal again. Still a few lingering coughs from a couple of them but overall they are acting their normal spunky selves.
Production is on the up and up and we should have not problems fulfilling our orders tomorrow and going forward! ❤️
Thank you all for your patience and understanding in keeping our herd health the number 1 priority.

Breeding season is only 2 months away 🤯
That means that while the girls are recovering, I’m trying to figure out who gets to breed with which buck, tracking heat cycles, etc.
It takes a lot of thinking on our end to decide what traits we’re hoping to improve, if there was anything we loved out of a past pairing, planning ahead for future keeper does.
This year we have a new buck from WONDERFUL milk lines that we’re wanting to experiment with for better udders 🤞🏼

Unfortunately, we are dealing with a pretty serious illness working its way through our herd after returning home from the fair. It began with the three goats we took to fair and has since progressed through most of the herd.
We have had our veterinarian out, we have a treatment plan in place, and we are doing everything we can to get everyone healthy again. Thankfully, they are receiving the care and medications they need, but recovery is going to take some time.
For our herd share families and everyone who gets milk from us, we wanted to give you a heads-up that our milk supply will likely be limited for the next few weeks.
Some of our does are currently being treated with antibiotics, which means their milk is being dumped during the required withdrawal period. Being sick has also reduced production across the herd.
Beyond medication withdrawal requirements, we are being extremely cautious with the milk we keep. If we have any question about whether milk meets the standard we would be comfortable serving our own family, we dump it. We aren’t willing to take chances simply to fill an order.
Because of that, there may be weeks when we cannot completely fulfill everyone’s normal milk amount while the herd recovers.
We sincerely appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding while we work through this. Our first priority right now is getting our girls healthy, and our second is making sure that the milk leaving Naomi Lane Dairy is milk we feel completely comfortable putting on our own table.
Hopefully, everyone will be back to their normal, demanding, troublemaking selves soon. 🐐❤️
Thank you for bearing with us.

Breaks my heart to hear this! I met Christine, the owner of Itty Bitty Goat Boutique, several years back when we purchased our Dixie from her.
My heart breaks for her family 💔

Well due to a hungry fox this morning. We will not be able to sell anymore eggs until next year. The fox got all of our adult hens sadly.
