ONE YEAR OF MAKENZIE (pt. 1) ✨

Today is a really special one because we’re celebrating ONE YEAR of Makenzie being part of The Sandbar. 🤍

I’ve personally known Makenzie since 2021, which makes this milestone feel even more meaningful to me. I’ve had the privilege of watching her grow, evolve, and continue to build an incredible career over the years, and after more than eight years in this industry, she is a true example of what it looks like to never stop learning!

Makenzie was not a new esthetician when she joined The Sandbar. She came to us with years of experience, knowledge, talent, and a foundation she had already worked hard to build. One of the things I admire most about her is that she has never allowed that experience to make her complacent.

She continues to challenge herself. She continues to learn. She continues to look for ways to improve her techniques, expand her knowledge, and become an even better esthetician for herself and for the clients who trust her. And to me, THAT is what makes someone truly exceptional in this industry.

As a business owner, there is something incredibly rewarding about watching someone you believe in continue to grow. I’m so proud of the esthetician Makenzie is today, but I’m even more excited about the esthetician she continues to become. Getting to be a part of that journey and providing a space where she can continue to learn, challenge herself, and thrive has been such a gift.

The amount of love and appreciation our clients have for Makenzie speaks volumes. They rave about the quality of her work, her attention to detail, and the care she puts into every service. Just as often, I hear about how comfortable she makes people feel and how easy she is to talk to. That ability to make someone feel genuinely cared for while also providing an incredible service is something that can’t be taught from a textbook.

Before I share all the beautiful photos and memories from this week, I just want to say thank you.

Thank you to every contestant who stepped into my room this year and trusted me to help them feel their absolute best, both on and off the stage. It’s an honor that I never take lightly. This thank you goes far beyond this year’s contestants though. It’s also for every woman who trusted me in the years before them. The directors and contestants who recommended me to their sister queens, shared my work, and advocated for the care I put into what I do. Your support means more to me than you probably realize.

This was my fifth year in Las Vegas, and every year holds a little piece of the people who have trusted me along the way.

There are so many more photos and memories from this week that I can’t wait to share, but I wanted to start with this because none of it would be possible without you.

Thank you for trusting me, supporting me, and allowing me to be a small part of such an important experience.
