The girly who started this whole business got her ears pierced… again! ✨🩷

And yes — again. She had them pierced by me once before, and we eventually realized she just wasn’t quite ready yet. So we took them out, gave her some time, and waited until she wanted to try again. 🥹

One of the questions parents ask me ALL the time is, “Do you think my child is ready to get their ears pierced?”

And my answer is almost always: it depends!

There isn’t a magic age when every child is suddenly ready. Some kids are comfortable with the process and responsibility earlier than others — and that’s totally okay!

A successful piercing experience is about more than being brave for the actual piercing. During healing, it’s important to:

✨ Keep the piercings clean
✨ Keep hands off as much as possible
✨ Avoid picking or playing with the jewelry
✨ Communicate if something feels sore, irritated or just doesn’t seem right
✨ Have a parent who is willing to help with aftercare and keep an eye on the piercings throughout healing

If your child isn’t quite ready yet, waiting is always an option. I would much rather have a kiddo come back when they’re excited and prepared than turn ear piercing into a stressful experience. 🩷

And when they ARE ready, I love getting to be part of such a fun little milestone! ✨
