Added some pops of blonde while still keeping it low maintenance. I’m about to take my second class of the year. This time it’s all things lived in color! Can’t wait to share more with you guys!

Steal my two must have products everybody should be using on wet hair before touching it with a brush:

Turning this brunette into a blonde. This was our second session of lightening layers of dark color. We have been doing lots of natural highlights working to keep the hair as healthy as possible while still getting the most out of our sessions. Can’t wait to give you an update after our next session!

Sunkissed strawberry blonde ☀️our goal was to keep the hair as natural looking as possible so we touched up her roots added some babylights to give it a natural sunkissed glow and pulled some lowlights through to make sure she didn’t get too light and to keep the ends broken up. She left with a beach wave and and an daily bundle to help maintain her color and the health of her hair.

We were able to match her natural so closely last time that he before isn’t even that bad! Adding in a few more foils around the front and blending the root shadow down just softened the front while still giving her the feeling of being blonde but keeping the dimension for a seamless grow out.

This was a maintenance appointment. Would you believe me if I said we only did 6 foils and a root shadow? And that it had been 15 weeks since her last appointment! We transitioned from a full platinum highlight to a lived in color at her last appointment and her maintenance has gone down significantly but we are also starting to get her hair healthier.

PURPLE shampoo tips:

Purple shampoo is NOT a daily shampoo:
Use every 5-7 washes.

Shampoo, rinse, repeat:
shampoo with your daily shampoo or even a clarifying shampoo before washing with your purple shampoo.

Conditioning mask:
On the days you use your purple shampoo it is a great time to also add in a mask to keep hair healthy.

Tips to maintain your icy blonde look at home:

Take home products:
Purple shampoo: helps to neutralize unwanted yellow tones that will inevitably come through after your gloss fades and if you use heat on your hair. I love aluram’s purple shampoo because it will give you the icy look with shine without drying your hair out.

Heat protectant: speaking of unwanted yellow tones…did you know that heat will turn out blonde strands yellow faster? Heat protectant will help prevent that and protect the integrity of your hair.

Leave in conditioner: Before you brush your hair after washing it you should always spray a leave in conditioner on it first. Your hair is most fragile when it’s wet and a leave in conditioner will help protect it from any extra breakage. I love aluram’s leave in conditioner because I helps Detangles and also leaves the hair extra soft.

Adding a soft root shadow or root tap helps keep dimensional highlights and lowlights from looking too chunky. The thicker the lowlights/highlights the more dimension you will see but keeping a soft root will help with grow out and help keep it from looking stripey.
