Tallow is having its moment but why are we not really worried about that?

Regeneratively farmed suet tallow is the top of the top available for tallow. So yes, tallow is everywhere but we have to ask ourselves, when you flip the jar over and analyze the ingredients and how those are processed, is that actually even beneficial?

People are waking up and ingredients matter, transparency in processing matters.

So ask yourself, is it the ingredients that are what matter the most, or is it sourcing and processing of those ingredients more important?

It all comes down to sourcing and rendering. Some say tallow is gross but what’s truly gross is the tallow on the market that shouldn’t be sold to put on anyones body.

If you compare grass-fed and finished tallow suet to grain-fed tallow, the difference is actually very stark.

All tallow is not created equally. In the same way that olive oil from Walmart is not the same quality as olive oil imported from Greece, tallow that is pre-rendered from China will not even light a candle to the nutrient dense, nourishing fatty acid profile of regenerative farmed suet that is dry rendered.

The biggest misconception about tallow (and one that I had too) is that it can clog your pores. And while it might for some, the difference in quality of tallow is really where the nutrient density differs a TON.

What that looks like practically is grass fed and finished tallow (what we use) vs grain fed tallow has different fatty acid ratios. Grass fed and finished is much more balanced, making it very bio-compatible to the skin.

Many tallow brands on the market today use bleached, deodorized, triple rendered tallow from trim fat. It’s generous to even call that tallow.

They’re making you believe that this is SO good for your skin when in reality they are simply jumping on the tallow bandwagon with little regard for the quality, purchasing pre-rendered tallow from China with no control over the process.

On the other and hand, grass fed and finished suet tallow balm that is slowly, meticulously rendered and mixed carefully with organic, cold-pressed and unrefined oils will yield a nourishing, healing and barrier strengthening balm that will feed your skin what it is lacking.

If we’re putting beef fat on our bodies in the first place, shouldn’t it be the highest quality possible?

We only ship Mondays - Wednesdays so orders aren’t sitting anywhere over the weekend. Shorter time in transit means less likelihood of products arriving melted.

We mostly use UPS 2 or 3 day shipping. I get it, I hate paying for shipping too but we do NOT make any money from your shipping costs. We have found them to be the most reliable and consistent so your packages arrive safe and on time.

We use insulated bubble wrap to help keep heat away from your precious tallow. We have shipped to Hawaii and checked in with her order and she said it arrived unmelted 👍🏼 winning.

We only add enough carrier oils in our whipped products to make them spreadable. Room temperature grass fed tallow is rock hard so adding oils is necessary for spreadability. But we don’t overdo it!
