Switched it up today from an overgrown modern mullet to a fresh clean fade, and somehow got a little glimpse of our younger Hunter back.

The cuts matter… but this is the part we remember.

Sat down, trusted Richard, and walked out right.

Autism Acceptance Day 💙

If there’s one thing we’ve learned both as parents and as business owners, it’s that not every space is built with every child in mind.
And that’s something we’ve felt deeply.

Our son Hunter has opened our eyes in ways we can’t even put into words. He’s taught us patience, perspective, and something we hold onto every day, there is no “one way” to be. No one way to learn, communicate, or experience the world. And that doesn’t make someone less… it makes them uniquely, beautifully them.

At RTBS, we’ve had the privilege of meeting so many incredible kids and families. Kids who feel things deeply, who see the world differently, and who remind us what strength really looks like.

We know something as simple as a haircut isn’t always simple. The sounds, the environment, the unpredictability… it can be a lot.

So this is why we try to be a place where kids don’t have to “fit in” to belong. Where we slow it down if needed. Where we adjust. Where we meet them exactly where they are. Because every child deserves to feel safe, seen, and understood.

To our families, especially those walking this path, we see you. We get it. And we’re always in your corner.
And to our kids. You are never “too much.” You are just right. Always.

Time with family was everything… and leaving them never gets easier.

Being away was exactly what we needed, but getting back in the shop, seeing everyone again, and picking up right where we left off reminds us how lucky we are on both sides of this.

A huge shoutout to Gabriel & Richard for taking care of things while we were gone. We appreciate you guys!

Doors are open, clippers are on… and it already feels like we never left.

Being with our best friends just means picking up right where we left off… and apparently that includes a haircut. We’ll be hanging out, catching up… and next thing you know Isaac’s got the clippers out on the porch.
Different state, same routine.

Isaac will be back in the shop on the 25th. In the meantime, Richard & Gabriel are holding it down. You can book with them online or shoot us a text 203-367-7747

The shop doesn’t stop, but Isaac and Jackie are sneaking away for a few days.
We’re heading out for a little family time Thursday through Tuesday, March 19th-24th, so Isaac won’t be behind the chair during that stretch.

But don’t worry! Gabriel and Richard will be holding it down at the shop. As always walk-ins are welcome, and you can also book appointments online at anytime!
I may not always be by the shop phone, but I’ll still be checking texts and answering messages throughout the day if anyone needs anything.
