Over the weekend, I had the great pleasure of working with Oscar nominated hairstylist, Camille Friend. Camille was the lead hair designer for many multimillion dollar films including Black Panther, The Dreamgirls, Us, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay and so many others. She is also responsible for designing and executing Halle Bailey's elevated loc hairstyle in the soon to be released Little Mermaid film. It was an honor to work with a true beauty icon. Needless to say, "today was a good day." *Ice Cube voice* ✨🚀,

Tresseme's mission to create opportunity for the furtherance of Black hair artists is a great step in the right direction. Like many industries, there are not many people of color in high ranking positions, and the hair industry is no different. For decades, there has been a scarcity of Black hairstylists in leading positions in the beauty industry. It is time to even the playing field.

I really enjoyed learning from and , Two very well educated and extremely talented artists with many years in the industry.
