March is Women’s History Month, and every year it makes me reflect on the young girl I used to be.
I became a mother at 15.
At 19, I made one of the biggest decisions of my life — I chose entrepreneurship. I chose to bet on myself and become my own boss.
At the time, I had no idea where that decision would lead me. I didn’t know I would one day become a mentor, a role model, or someone others would look up to. I was simply a young woman determined to take control of her life and build a future for myself and my child.
Looking back now, I realize that sometimes history doesn’t start with big titles or recognition. Sometimes it starts with a young girl who refuses to let her circumstances define her.
So this Women’s History Month, I celebrate the woman I’ve become — and the young girl who had the courage to start the journey and here’s to the women who lead, create, inspire, and refuse to be limited. The story is still being written — and women are leading the way. 💪🏽✨❤️
