❤️ Finding My Way Back to Myself

If you’ve ever experienced burnout, grief, chronic fatigue, hormonal changes, iron deficiency, or simply felt disconnected from yourself, I hope something here resonates. ❤️‍🩹

Over the past year, I experienced one of the most challenging seasons of my life. Some losses were obvious. Others were harder to explain. There were moments of grief, exhaustion, uncertainty, and a level of burnout I had never experienced before. As someone who has spent a lifetime caring for others, it was difficult to admit that I needed care too.

For a long time, I just kept going. I showed up for my patients, my family, and my business, but somewhere along the way, I stopped showing up for myself. My body made me face the reality that change was greatly needed.

What I’ve learned through this season is that healing isn’t straightforward, even when you finally discover what’s hurting you most. Sometimes healing looks like rest. Sometimes it looks like boundaries. Sometimes it looks like sitting with uncomfortable feelings instead of drowning them with work, productivity, achievement, or distraction.

Over the past several months, I’ve been doing that work. I’ve spent more time in therapy, leaned into friendships that allow me to be fully human instead of always being the helper, and begun prioritizing movement, recovery, joy, and presence in ways I hadn’t for years.

And slowly, something beautiful has been happening.

My energy is returning.

Not all at once, and not in some magical overnight transformation, but little by little. I’m feeling more emotions, smiling more, creating more, and feeling more connected to MYSELF than I have in a long time.

For the first time in a very long time, I wake up feeling hopeful about what’s ahead.
