When I was growing up our meals consisted of cereal for breakfast and Peanutbutter and Jelly sandwiches for lunch ....
Those are luxury items now.... $6.48 for cereal, $3 for milk....
$7 for Peanutbutter, $3 for jelly and $1.50 for bread currently .... the meat aisle might as well have yellow caution tape around it and an EMT with smelling salts close by .... there is nothing reasonable anymore .... and if you're on a fixed income your COLA is not going to offset the increase in your insurance ....for some reason they are saying the economy has improved and that is what determines the COLA therefore the COLA will be smaller ....so where is this "economy" that has improved because I may need to move there !

Time to slow down! A lot! I had fluid around the lungs, elevated blood pressure and my sugar level was 250 which means I may no longer just be boarder line type 2 diabetic. I’ll know more in the days and weeks to come. With my age I was expecting that would change. With my past history of health issues the doctor said they haven’t seen too many patients reach my age with the condition I have called Tetralogy of Fallot. Which I’ve had all my life since birth. Hole in the heart between lower chambers at birth, narrowing of the pulmonary valve, which I’ve had replaced twice, last one in September 2018, the lower right ventricle wall is thicker than normal. And the enlargement and thinning of the aortic valve due to the way the blood vessels flow through the heart. Now I’ll still be cutting grass but not on the scale I have been this past year. I have a small client list that will keep me just busy enough to make it through the summers financially and a balloon twisting/decorating business that will remain if full time along with Santa. Everything else it seems body to telling me I really don’t have a choice.

Another fun day of cutting grass is over. Starting all over tomorrow at 8am.

The hazards of working with a lawn service ! My arms are eat up with poison ivy and the itching is driving me nuts! Time for something stronger then what I’ve been using at home the past 3 days! Good ole steroid shot should knock it out!
