There was truly no plan with these lashes I did on mannequina (mind you I would rather not post photos of her) 🤣🙃 I was just trying out UV glue for the first time and I used a tile that had strips from a couple past sets on it but damn they are cute!

Finally back from vacation! 🖤
We took a cute lil train ride through the redwoods and I was immediately inspired to make redwoods lashes! 🌲🌳💚

Hopefully you can see the inspiration 🙃 lol it was hard to really capture it in photos. I thought of the method for the tree after being inspired by The Lash Vamp 🦇 Sacramento Lash Artist LashOWeen alien lash outer corner (if you haven’t seen please go check it out!) I also took inspo from Lauren Ashley - Spellbound Lashes to put more than one color on a single lash for my red-brown tree bark (from her LashOWeen set please also go see!)

Is she a smidge more pine tree than I was planning? Yes.
Will I be attempting this again later for Xmas? Also yes. 🤣

First I want to thank Dana DeMarco | Color Lash Artist & Brand Owner for recognizing just how hard I worked on my Prince set and offering me the seat! It pretty much made my year 🩷

The moment I saw the theme for this virtual competition Garnet immediately popped into my mind. She is the incredibly strong and pragmatic leader of the crystal gems from the cartoon Steven Universe. If you haven’t seen the show i strongly suggest you do because it may just change you emotionally ✨

Garnet is a gem fusion of two other gems Sapphire and Ruby. They are two gems who love one another deeply and their love created Garnet. ❤️ Ruby has two eyes and Sapphire has one, giving Garnet three eyes. Her third eye can see into the future and its possibilities ✨

Garnet may be red-purple but we can tell she is clearly also a melanated baddie 😉 so of course I had to ask this gorgeous Queen Emily Rose to be my model! Thank you so much sis for helping me make this vision come to life! 🖤
