Dan's Barber Shop

So, things have calmed down since the frantic pace of the first week open.
If anyone is worried about avoiding a crush to get in for a cut, no need to worry. Come on down or give a call to the shop.

So, per the recent announcement from the State, I will be reopening on Monday the 25th. Typically, I'm off Monday, but this will help with the customer load this week, as I'm sure a lot of people are VERY eager to get haircuts.
I'm still getting things organized with the new requirements, but the town health department helped clarify some of them that were written a bit vague.

Everyone will have to come wearing masks.
A few people can wait in the shop, but socially distanced and with no contact. Otherwise, people will have to wait outside in their cars. If you would prefer to wait in your car, away from others, that is perfectly fine. I'll be giving out numbered tickets to maintain an order of people waiting their turn.
I will have to clean and disinfect my chair, tools and anything people had contact with in-between clients.
I also have to keep a daily list with people's names and phone numbers for the town and state, just in case someone later tests positive, so they can trace back to see the source or who else might have been infected.

We've all been patient up to this point. So I'd ask everyone to continue to be patient as we try to get back to some semblance of normalcy, while adapting to new rules in our current situation.

While we all deal with this public health crisis, I will be shut down on a week to week basis, until it's deemed safe for everyone to return to our normal routines and activities. I look forward to seeing everyone back in, happy and healthy, for a cut. Let's all get through this together!

The Toys For Tots box in my shop is ready to be filled. I was informed that the dateline has been bumped up to Dec 10th this year, so if any of my regulars are looking to donate, you know where and when before it's too late!

I will be closed Saturday, September 19th for my sister's wedding.I will reopen the following Tuesday as usual.- Dan

I really need to keep up with this page more often. Well, here's to the beautiful weather lately. A good time for a trim! ;)

The shop is now closed for the rest of the week and will reopen Tuesday, Nov 6th. I'll see everyone then after I return rested and a bit darker after a long weekend wedding in Cancun.

I'm going to be at a destination wedding in Cancun, Mexico from Thursday Nov 1st to Sunday Nov 4th. While I had originally planned to have Donnie come back for a few days to take care of the shop for me, that is unable to happen due to scheduling conflicts. So, the shop will be closed from Nov 1st to Nov 3rd. So, come in a little early if need be or wait until Tuesday Nov 6th when I'll reopen.
