Clean the wound gently with mild soap and water, pat it dry carefully, and apply a thin layer of petroleum jelly to keep the area moist while it heals. Cover it with a clean, sterile bandage and change the dressing daily or whenever it becomes wet or dirty to prevent infection and minimize scarring.
No need to hydrogen peroxide as it hurts and can injure healthy skin
Avoid Aquafor if you have a lanolin sensitivity
Avoid neosporin altogether as it can cause contact dermatitis and extend healing time
SPF is best way to minimize scarring
Simple is better!
