Another week of showing up. 🤍

For my clients, for my business, for the little things behind the scenes that no one really sees.

Building something you love takes time, patience, and a whole lot of showing up. And lately, I’ve been trying to appreciate the little wins along the way, too.

Because growth doesn’t always have to be loud to be meaningful. ✨

I've always believed a salon can be so much more than a place to do hair. 🤍

My vision has always been to create a space where women feel confident, supported, and inspired to grow, whether they're sitting in my chair or building their own business behind one.

Success is even more meaningful when you have people beside you who genuinely want to see you win.

I'm so grateful for the community we're building, and I know we're just getting started. ✨

If you're looking for healthy hair, a stylist who puts your hair first, or a salon home where you can truly grow, I'd love to connect. DM me when you’re ready to chat.

Becoming a salon owner meant more than opening the doors to Golden Wave ✨

I went off on my own with no idea what I was doing, then had to grow into a whole new role: stylist, leader, educator, and creator of an experience from the ground up.

Here are 5 things I let changed to trust my vision and build a salon centered on healthy hair, intentional relationships, and clients who feel confident 🤍

Growth doesn't always come from doing more. Sometimes it comes from knowing what to release.

1. Invested in business education.

I went to hair school, not business school. I never knew the importance of marketing, having a website, or Google reviews when I first went off on my own. Instagram is a marketing tool, not the only way to market yourself.

2. Stopped scrolling and doing only what the internet is doing.

Yes, I still check out trends and jump on the fun ones for my clients to see. But the internet can put you in such a toxic cycle that I try to avoid it as best I can for my own mental sanity.

3. Tracked my numbers EVERY SINGLE WEEK.

I'm not talking about just glancing at my booking system. I break it down in spreadsheets so I know exactly what money is coming in and going out, weekly.

4. Set goals for how much I want to make monthly, quarterly, and annually.

Setting those goals pushes me to work to the best of my ability to meet them. I won't always hit every single one, but it's what keeps me working toward my future.

5. Set boundaries around my time.

I stopped saying yes to every appointment request just because someone asked. But not until I had a clientele built first. Once I did, I cut services I enjoyed and let go of clients I genuinely loved because they didn't fit where my business needed to go anymore. Cutting back is what let me build up.
