Who’s up for a new challenge?
Everyday I’ll be committing to adding into my routine a 30 min walk, 100 crunches (any variation), and 5 minutes of stretching.
If you were to do this 7 days a week, that adds an additional 3.5 hours of walking to the week, 700 crunches, and 35 minutes of stretching.
If those benefits aren’t enough for you, walking the extra 3.5 hours will burn an additional 900+ calories per week, the 700 crunches will burn an additional 140 calories per week, and the 35 min of stretching will burn around an additional 95 calories per week!
This can be done at any point in the day.
This does not replace your weekly workouts.
You can choose to walk with friends, family, your pet, indoor, outdoor, or anywhere you’d like. The point is to just get moving!
As they say, there’s no time like the present, so I’ll be starting this new commitment TODAY.

Small changes over time can add up to big results! What are some small changes you can make to stay active throughout the day?
How about trying some of these:
Walk during your lunch break
Bike or walk to work
Use the stairs
Dance like no one is watching
Do an at-home workout of any kind
Sign up for a group fitness class
Do 10 squats every bathroom break
Play with the kids (or pets) more
Take on household projects/deep cleaning

Did you know that one hour of the day is only 4% of the day?
This means that if you spend one hour of the day on YOU, you’re only spending 4% of the day’s time doing something meaningful and personal. Whether it’s reading a book to strengthen your mind or pushing weights in the gym to strengthen your body. One hour is only 4%!
And let’s go a little further… if one hour of the day is 4% of the day, then 30 min is only 2% of the day… 2%!!
There are plenty of excuses we can make to avoid working out, but when you break it down into simple math, if you’re only spending 2-4% of the day on your health and fitness, there really aren’t any excuses!
Get motivated, stay consistent, and commit to being a better you!

4 Months PP vs 22 Months PP ‼️
I may not know a lot about a lot, but one thing I do know is TIME AND CONSISTENCY are two very important factors with both reaching your fitness/health goals as well as in life!
To all the moms out there struggling to stay consistent, struggling to find time and motivation, who are stressed out, overworked, and run down… YOU CAN DO THIS! Even 15 minutes a day of something is better than nothing!
Your body won’t magically change overnight, but it will change with consistency and time!

It’s important to remember that effective, long-term results can take time. When you’re building something long lasting and real, it should be viewed as a lifestyle change not just a fad diet.
With health and fitness, results will happen over time. You will feel immediate benefits to eating healthier and working out, but your overall goals will take consistency and commitment to reach the end result.
Keep your head up fit fam and always keep pushing forward! Or as they say, “Eyes on the prize”!

We are officially a week into spring and there’s nothing like the start of a new season to get us moving into our new season of health and wellness.
Did you know that each season has its own list of naturally sourced fruits and veggies that are best for the body during their harvest time? The term “in-season” helps us to define which foods are best for consumption during each of life’s seasons. In springtime some of the top produce include asparagus, avocados, garlic, herbs, lemons, rhubarb, and so much more!

There’s no greater power than the power of choice. And when you make the choice to eat nutritious, healthy food, you’re making the choice to live a happier and healthier life.
One of my favorite breakfast go-to’s is (plain) oatmeal mixed with fresh berries and a spoonful of natural peanut butter. It’s my power packed, “let’s start the day right” meal that’s filled with good carbs, protein, fats, and a hint of sweetness.

Consistency is key! 🔑
No matter what you’re trying to achieve, consistency is key! The same can be said for achieving your goals in health and fitness. Consistency, consistency, consistency!
It’s when you keep moving forward (even though the days are long and hard)…
It’s when you keep showing up for your workouts (even though you’re feeling lazy and tired)…
It’s when you choose a nutritious meal (even though a burger and fries sound so much better)…
When you consistently show up for yourself, your best self will shine brighter and brighter with each passing day.
Staying consistent is not easy, but the best things in life never are!
