Please welcome Teagan Bignell to our Healthcare studio! š
Teagan joins Zimmerman as an Architectural Technician, bringing a unique perspective shaped by her studies at UWM and her time in Barcelona. Authentic, creative, and grounded, she prioritizes the "human side" of every project and how a space can help people feel, heal, and connect.
"As a college student in Milwaukee, I always aspired to work at a place like Zimmerman. Iām incredibly grateful and excited to now call Zimmerman my new office and home, where I can contribute my humanitarian background to their healthcare studio."
We couldnāt be happier to have her passion and talent on the team!

Cheers to the Wisconsin design community for a night of pure inspiration! š„
From educational hubs to centers for wellness and play, the common thread in our latest recognition is simple: creating space for people to gather.
The Daily Reporter's Top Projects honor the community impact and collaborative spirit that define Wisconsinās built environment. Whether it's fostering student growth or providing a home for regional recreation, these projects represent a shared commitment to the public good.
A sincere congratulations to the clients and our partners behind these three honorees:
āWoodman's Sports & Convention Center
ā Green County Family YMCA
ā Racine Unified Schools - Starbuck K-8 School
Navigating complex challenges and innovative building techniques is part of the job, but seeing these facilities serve their purpose is the real reward.
A new chapter for behavioral health care in the Chippewa Valley has begun with the groundbreaking of the new Rogers Behavioral Health Hospital.
This milestone is the result of a critical need identified by this community, our legislators, and the DHS. By working together, we are finally able to bring these essential services to the region.
From an architectural perspective, it is a privilege to design a facility that provides a full continuum of care, bringing hope, healing and expanded access to treatment. Our design focuses on creating a modern, therapeutic environment that supports every level of acuity.
Congratulations to Rogers Behavioral Health on this visionary step toward a healthier, more supported community.

Good architecture considers what surrounds it; and so do we.
Our team stepped out of the office to clean up the neighborhood we call home base. No renderings, no deadlines ā just colleagues, gloves, and a few blocks worth of trash bags. The built environment only goes as far as the community it sits in, and we think that's worth showing up for.
Happy Earth Day from our crew to yours. š±

In honor of National Donate Life Month, weāre taking a closer look at a project that sits at the intersection of high-tech engineering and human hope: the UW Health Transplant Perfusion Lab.
These three new labs are designed specifically for organ perfusion; a process that keeps donated organs viable outside the body by mimicking natural circulation. This isn't just about square footage; itās about creating a precision-controlled environment where technology can:
-Extend the "golden hour" for organ viability.
-Improve post-transplant success rates.
-Ensure more donated gifts find their way to waiting patients.
We are proud to partner with institutions like UW Health to build the infrastructure of tomorrowās medicine.

Puzzle play is the process of arranging spatial elements to explore and optimize design solutions. š§©
This semester, our interior design studio has the privilege of facilitating a healthcare interiors class for students from the Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design and Concordia University Wisconsin.
Last class, our healthcare studio led a hands-on puzzle play activity, giving students the chance to experiment with programmatic elements before finalizing their layouts. The students embraced the challenge, pushing boundaries and uncovering fresh ideas, proving that creativity is a powerful force in solving complex healthcare challenges with human-centered solutions.
Having the opportunity to share our experience and passion for healthcare interior design, and to help equip the next generation of designers with essential planning tools, is truly rewarding.
