Roots Beauty Room

GBK ANNOUNCEMENT:
In 2019, I started this spray tan journey with a tent and spray gun. What started as a side job, quickly turned into me having to make the decision to leave my corporate job so I could steward the growing clientele. I was strictly mobile so after work, I was driving from home to home with my supplies to deliver luxury spray tans. I could no longer drive to all the surrounding areas in one night to serve all the clients so the next big move was renting out a salon suite. I’m so glad I trusted God to make that jump because my clientele just continued to increase once I joined Maty at Roots Beauty Room, I knew His hand was on my business! (Deuteronomy 28:8) My client reach was surpassing Louisiana, women started making the drive from Texas and Arkansas too. GBK has definitely flourished over the years, from being invited to appear on morning television news stations, sponsoring Louisiana Title beauty pageants, and training other to women to do what I do.

In 2021, I felt a stirring to venture into permanent make-up, so I took the leap again by getting my certification. I added ‘PMU Brows’ to my service list and shortly after that, tiny tattoos. It was a HUGE financial blessing to my business that led me to a highly sought after Med Spa in Arkansas. For almost a year, I was traveling there monthly to service my Arkansas clients. God is good! (Psalms 1:3 and again Deut 28:8)

After MUCH prayer, questioning, and more prayer- I’m announcing that I’m closing my beauty business here in Louisiana to follow the Lord’s direction to something NEW. It’s a big change, but one my husband and I feel deeply led toward. God has been so faithful and we know He will continue to lead and guide us on this next chapter of our lives. To my clients, THANK YOU. Thank you for trusting me with your events, your milestones, and your stories. I’m grateful you have helped me build something meaningful. You’ve truly been a blessing in my families life. I never imagined the incredible people I’d meet and the relationships built through out the years. I’m not sad, I’m sincerely filled with gratitude at how good God is.

✨ If you are interested in learning to spray tan whether it be at the scale I’ve been doing or just having a little side gig for certain seasons, MESSAGE ME and we can work out getting you certified!
Love always, Kelsea

❄️ Stuck inside = perfect time to take care of your hair & skin!

Wash less. Condition more. 😶‍🌫️
Turn the shower down from “lava.” 🔥
Oil your ends. Moisturize your face. Drink water. 💧
Use lip balm like it’s a personality trait. 🫦

And please… step away from the scissors. 💇🏻‍♀️

We’re missing our people! Stay warm. Stay healthy. 🤍💚

I think we got this figured out..

Please park like the cars on the right, not the left like we’re use to, leaving a lane in the middle for entering and exiting. There are yellow parking blocks to help show where to park

Also, Junkin Jeanna gave us the blessing to use their parking lot and vice versa. But I ask only for it to be used if absolutely necessary. If you do so, please respect their parking lines they’ve painted.

Thank you 💚

EDIT:
A letter from the owner next door/neighbors
A letter from our neighbors:

“This letter is to tell you we have leased the property next door at 435 Homer Road, to Junkin Jeanna, it will be a flea market.

You and your clients will no longer be allowed to use any of the parking lot. We allowed it while it was empty. however it will all be needed for our tenant and their customers. The fence line marks the property line, and we will be restriping the lot and adding parking blocks on our lot to mark the area.
Please spread the word with your clients, to prevent any further issues.
Thank you for your cooperation on this matter.”

Just spreading the word! As we ask you to do so to by sharing this post. It is our goal to extend our parking lot in the future because we are very aware of the lack of space (and money for dirt and rock/concrete 🤣🫠) Until then please keep others in mind when parking, leaving the space behind the carport open for entering and existing.
Thank you for understanding. We can do this 💪🏻

Jordan has openings this week!
