Do you really need eye cream?

Sensitive Skin 101

Do you have sensitive skin, Eczema, Psoriasis, Rosacea?
Maybe you’re just using the wrong skincare or none at all?

I can help.

To heal sensitive skin, you need to repair and strengthen the skin’s moisture barrier. Once the moisture barrier is compromised, there tends to be a downward spiral, as increased moisture loss causes a heightened inflammatory response and lessens the skin’s ability to self-repair. This cycle continues.

Step 1 - Less is more for sensitive skin.

Our Soothe regimen for sensitive skin removes anything that could compromise the barrier, such as irritating substances, exfoliation, and peels.

Soothe provides the skin with ingredients that “fill in” and repair the barrier. This allows the skin to heal, keeping moisture in, and irritants and microbial agents out.

Avoid:
Hot showers, chemical sunscreens (use physical blockers - zinc oxide), wash cloths/loofas, alcohol, propylene glycol, and glycolic acids.
Skip toners, and use fragrance-free formulas.

Use:
Moisturizers that include ceremides, lipids, cholesterol, allantoin, dimethicone to help repair skin’s sensitive barrier.
Oatmeal (helps with itchiness). Use a humidifier in a dry environment.
