It only took seven years to get back here but let me tell you, it was worth the wait. Finding the words to describe camp this year is still escaping me. I keep coming back to a couple things I heard from campers though.

One was that you couldn't go anywhere at camp without hearing joyous laughter. After a very difficult seven years, particularly for my Minnesota community, being immersed in so fu***ng much fat joy was incandescent.

The second thing I heard was folks who felt safer to try something new, whether it was getting on a paddleboard or making friends. Rad fat campers tried things here because they were surrounded by an accepting, inclusive, and loving community.

And third. We were immersed in fat community that was filled with kindness, beauty, talent, and love. We saw ourselves mirrored back to us and it changed how we see ourselves. I hope every camper takes a piece of that back out into their worlds and is just a tiny bit more badass because of it.

I truly could not have dreamed of a better return for Rad Fat Adventure Camp. I'm endlessly grateful for the way this community shows up for each other and me and my little org Radical Health Alliance. See you at Rad Fat Adventure Camp 2027! 💜🧡💛

I am home. I am tired. I am wrapped in my soft rad fat adventure camp hoodie and just starting to let the last four days sink in. I have so many photos to sort through and will have many more coming but for now, have this stealthy pic I took while we were getting ready for our group photo. We took this Saturday before lunch and since then I watched so many beautiful connections deepen and bloom. I've never been so lucky to get to do what I do. Thank you. 💜🧡💛

What a summer y'all. I cannot believe today is the last day of summer and tomorrow will be the month in which Rad Fat Adventure Camp makes its triumphant return!

We were really out and about this summer preaching the good word of Rad Fat Camp! We got to watch gorgeous performances by The Rose Academy Of Burlesque students, hang out by the pool at Cake Plus-Size Resale 's fat splashes, and rep camp at the very first 📍MPLS, MN Plus Sized Market !

My heart is so full from being back in this community full force. Building local community is really where my passion is in this work, and I cannot wait to keep serving Minnesota through the Radical Health Alliance.
