This course guides participants through a process of cultural self-study while exploring how race, ethnicity, culture, power, and privilege impact supervision, service, healing, and community work.

Although many past participants have held graduate degrees or worked in mental health fields, this is not a requirement. This course is open to anyone ready to learn, reflect, and grow through a cultural lens.

SLOW ROLL - History of Trains In Minneapolis
May 30, 2026
7:30 AM - 10:00 AM
2834 10th Ave S. MPLS

Before freeways and buses dominated Minneapolis, trains shaped the movement of people, goods, neighborhoods, and opportunity across the region.

Join Slow Roll MSP for a unique community ride exploring the forgotten and evolving story of rail transit in Minneapolis—from the streetcar systems of Lake Street and Uptown to the rail corridors that built Hopkins and connected the western suburbs to the city.

Together, we’ll ride the trails and corridors that once carried streetcars, freight lines, and commuter trains while imagining what the future of mobility, trails, transit, and connected neighborhoods could become. The link is in the comments.

Honoring our ancestors... Memorial Day.
In 1965, the Black community in Charleston, South Carolina, was unsettled by the fact that Black Union Soldiers were dumped into a mass grave, and decided to take action.

They unearthed the bodies and gave each soldier a proper burial. The community came together in the thousands (10, 000) to honor the soldiers who lost their lives fighting for us to be free.
