Did you know that in this fast paced crazy world, some people stick it out for the long haul?

The ups and downs?

The 4 am bang trim correction request that comes in the next morning, the DIY highlights gone rogue, the pre-wedding balayage, the post-baby texture re-evaluation, the chemo cut, the vivid expression explosion when the client got the GOOD job... Erica has seen it all. And even more lucky than the clients that get to spend their ups and downs over the year with her, are the team members that get to spend time with her having our backs.

For every hair high and low Erica has gotten to be a part of as a stylist there is an epic karmic match for something on our team or in our spaces, and Erica has seen it all: the buildouts, the babies, the closes, the moves, the new team members, a whole ass pandemic, the broken windows at the old place, the mysterious drain smell that one time at the new place, the art shows, the glitter covered dance parties... Erica has been around for it all.

This talented stylist came to our team as the first salon she joined out of school, and has been with us ever since, cutting, coloring, styling, getting advanced education to nurture her own gifts, getting trained in as a color and product educator, mentoring stylists and so much more. When she's not doing all of that, she's busy keeping us accountable with her no-nonsense approach to the day-to-day salon tasks and equal amounts of heart, humor, and care when it comes to the humans in her orbit.

We are truly so grateful that in the land of 10,000 salons she chose us all of those different lifetimes ago (oh my geez, mid typing this the realization struck that Erica is one of the last 2 remaining team member from the days between Cafetto and Hum's 🤯) , and we hope to get to be a part of hers until she rides off into the sunset to live off the grid on a commune to make art and raise chickens.

Tip your hat, drop some love, and give a shout out to someone that has spent more time unloading moving trucks, folding and unfolding tables for events, inhaled more glitter and done more hair than almost anyone else on staff: Happy 9 Years with the team, Erica!

CONGRATULATIONS TO CALEY on 5 WHOLE YEARS with our team! Caley () came on as our team's first ever Assistant Stylist, which was so many lifetimes ago (literally a full 2 salons ago, honestly!) not only is that not even a position that we offer but the license she had with the state at the time isn't even a license you can get any more! The funny part is, "Assistant Stylist" 𝑤𝑎𝑠𝑛'𝑡 𝑎 𝑗𝑜𝑏 𝑤𝑒 𝑜𝑓𝑓𝑒𝑟𝑒𝑑 then, either. This little go-getter had the chutzpah to reach out to us with her idea, drafted a plan, and created a whole job just for herself.

If that's not Caley, we don't know what is.

If she hadn't had the vision and drive, our team may have never evolved our culture to so actively bring on stylists for mentorship by creating the programs we have had and the opportunities that followed for so many stylists. It is so wild to think that so many stylists career opportunities can all be traced back to someone that hadn't even graduated hair school yet!

Caley rang in her 5 year anniversary this month with some major milestones, and after years of intense continuing education, dedication, and passion for this industry, Caley had a promotion and is now working as a 4 stylist. The little ambitious hair school kid we knew is now a sought out stylist, mentoring incoming stylists on her own and working behind the chair with co-stylists to meet the demand of her busy schedule, all while also being the lead stylist for our On-Site Styling Team for weddings and events.

The people make our space what it is, but we can wholeheartedly say that Caley and her big heart have truly gone above and beyond to shape us in our past and present. This team can rest easy knowing Caley will keep on envisioning more ways to bring light to the world through our craft into the future!
