Carrie Nelson is back in the Constellation Classroom this month on Friday to bring the rich soundscape of the gong and to help us usher in the season of metal for autumn.

🍂 The gentle vibrations of the gong help us circulate and release that which we no longer need to carry. 🍂

Are you a little “gong-hesitant”?? We get it and let us put you at ease: a gong bath is not just banging on the gong. There are different mallets and techniques to coaxing sound out of this ancient and rich instrument. Sometimes it sounds like orca whale songs, sometimes it sounds like outer space, sometimes it sounds like a shimmering lake, and sometimes it sounds like the crash of a wave.

Carrie will create an experience with different variances in tone and pace with the gong but also with a few other instruments, like singing bowls, chimes, and the shrutibox, so rest assured, it’s not too much of one thing.

You’ll rest comfortably on a mat, supported by blankets, pillows, and an eye mask. You can position yourself in the room to adjust for sound level and you always have agency to leave the room or take a break if you feel overstimulated.

Yoga mats, blankets, small bolsters, and eye coverings are provided. Bring any additional comforts that your body may need such as a pillow.

No experience necessary. Just come as you are.

Meet Kelsey, one of our newest massage therapists!

Kelsey (they/them, she/her, he/him) received their Diploma in Massage Therapy from Minnesota State Community and Technical College Wadena, where they learned Swedish/relaxation, deep tissue, sports, geriatric, and prenatal massage techniques.

Kelsey loves working with anyone with a body, and they enjoy supporting working class laborers with physical jobs. Their specialties include sciatic pain, back pain, tech neck, TMJ, headaches and migraines, carpal tunnel syndrome, and sports rehab.

Kelsey understands the interconnectedness of the body and the different pain referral patterns that manifest as trigger points and knots. Pairing intentional movement with gentle stretching and range of motion techniques, massage sessions with Kelsey are designed to relax and restore for long-term benefits.

Through a combination of intuition, skillful practice, and communication, Kelsey works with clients to help reach treatment goals and restore balance to the body and mind.

Kelsey will be offering 60 and 90 minute Relaxation and Deep Tissue massages with appointments available starting October 4, 2026!

Meet Elise, one of our newest massage therapists!

Elise (they/them, she/her) is a graduate from Northwestern Health Sciences University with certificates in Swedish relaxation and Therapeutic massage, Neuromuscular Therapy, and Shiatsu Anma.

They have a passion for supporting patients living with chronic pain or chronic conditions (MS, fibromyalgia), TMJD, headaches, sciatica-like symptoms, and providing care to manual laborers and BIPOC and LGBTQ+ individuals.

Elise has extensive interest and knowledge in human anatomy & physiology, geared toward understanding the inherent capacity for the body to heal itself with appropriate early inventions. They promote an integrated and interdisciplinary approach toward rehabilitation from injury that doesn’t seek to inhibit you from living your life, and instead allows you to build on where you are today.

From Western approaches to the foundations of Traditional Chinese Medicine, their focus is on the whole person and meaningful recovery over time.

Elise will be offering 60 and 90 minute Neuromuscular Therapy massages with appointments available starting September 16, 2026!

Book online at constellationacu.com or give us a call at 612-339-5088. We look forward to seeing you in the clinic!

We heard you and we have more massage openings so you can get the care you need!

We’re excited to share that we have two new massage therapists joining our team!

Elise (they/she) will be offering Neuromuscular Therapy appointments starting in mid-September. Kelsey (they/she/he) will be offering Deep Tissue Massage and Relaxation Massage appointments starting in October.

We are excited to share more about both of them!

Curious about what might be the right type for you? Here's some info on each type of appointment:

NEUROMUSCULAR THERAPY & MYOFASCIAL RELEASE MASSAGE
Whether you're recovering from an injury, dealing with chronic pain, or carrying tension that just won't quit, Neuromuscular Therapy sessions offer slow, precise techniques that release the fascia (the connective tissue around your muscles) and help you feel like you're living in your body again - not fighting against it.

These sessions are great for:
⭐Chronic pain
⭐Acute injury
⭐Postural tension
⭐Scar tissue
⭐Increasing range of motion and limited mobility

RELAXATION OR DEEP TISSUE MASSAGE
These sessions are customized, full-body massages that utilize Swedish or Deep Tissue techniques based on what you and your practitioner decide is most needed that day. If you like gentler pressure, choose a Relaxation Massage, and if you prefer deeper pressure, choose a Deep Tissue Massage. These sessions are incredibly relaxing while still therapeutic.

These sessions are great for:
⭐General stress or mild pain relief
⭐People new to massage
⭐Anyone who wants a well-rounded session
⭐Anyone who sits all day at work and suffers from desk-related aches and pains

Book either a 60-minute or 90-minute massage at our website constellationacu.com

Still not sure which one is for you? Schedule a 15-minute free consult to discuss it with one of our practitioners.

Breathers, do you have the moon breathwork dates on your calendar for September yet? Come join us at the Constellation Classroom!

First, this week, we’ll breathe with new moon energy where we clear the channel of the body and set intentions for the cycle ahead. Perfect timing for the new beginnings of the coming fall season.

Then later in the month, for the full moon, we’ll gather again for reflection, releasing, and collective wisdom gathering with the guidance of the tarot.

These groups have been popular, so sign up if you know you want to come!

🌑NEW MOON BREATHWORK + INTENTION SETTING
Wed, Sept 9 at 7pm
90-minutes to tap into the new beginning energy of the new moon and set intentions with your breath with Shannon Schueler, RN

🌕FULL MOON BREATHWORK + TAROT CIRCLE
Sun, Sept 27 at 6pm
90-minutes to tap into the magic of the full moon and set big, bold intentions with your breath before grounding in rest, your journal, and the tarot with Amy Kuretsky

What to bring: Dress in layers to support your comfort. There are enough yoga mats and blankets for everyone. However, you are welcome to bring additional supplies (more blankets, your favorite eye pillow, etc) that make you feel most comfortable and at ease. A journal is also a lovely addition to jot down your thoughts!

FYI: You’ll be lying down on the floor for most of the session, with gentle guidance to begin and close.

Classes are $45 per attendee. Use the code ACCESS for 50% off if finances are a barrier to booking.
