In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, The Touch 4 Health & Wellness is giving back to breast cancer survivors in our community. 💗
Each week throughout October, we will donate an oncology-focused massage experience to one survivor and an oncology-focused facial experience to another.
Nominations will be accepted every Monday, and the two recipients will be contacted that Friday.
Know a breast cancer survivor who could use a little time devoted entirely to their own care and well-being? We invite you to nominate them.
To respect everyone’s privacy, please send nominations by email or text only:

World Menopause Day is October 18, and it’s a good opportunity to talk about something millions of women experience but that still doesn’t get talked about nearly enough.
Menopause can bring changes that affect everyday life, including disrupted sleep, changes in mood, muscle and joint discomfort, fatigue, changes in the skin, and the way your body responds to stress.
There’s no single menopause experience, and self-care won’t make every symptom disappear. But taking care of your body during this transition matters. Making time for rest, movement, stress management, good nutrition, appropriate medical care, and the wellness practices that help you feel your best can all be part of that care.
At The Touch 4 Health & Wellness, we believe wellness should meet you where you are — including as your body changes.
This World Menopause Day, we're reminding women that this stage of life deserves conversation, understanding, and care. 💜
Our Breast Cancer Awareness Month Initiative is underway. This is week two and our two nominees have been chosen. Both will receive an Oncology focused Experience, one in massage/bodywork, the other in skincare.
Thanks for your nominations! Keep them coming!

October 15 is Global Handwashing Day! 🧼
It’s one of the simplest things we do for our health, but washing our hands properly can make a big difference in helping prevent the spread of germs and illness.
And yes, there’s a right way to do it. Use soap and clean running water, scrub all surfaces of your hands—including between your fingers and under your nails—for at least 20 seconds, then rinse and dry thoroughly.
At The Touch 4 Health & Wellness, cleanliness and proper hygiene are an important part of creating a safe, comfortable environment for every client who walks through our doors.
Today is a good reminder that some of the most effective wellness habits are also the simplest. 🫧

Massage after a cancer diagnosis isn’t simply about using a lighter touch.
Cancer treatment can change the body in ways that need to be considered before and during a massage. Surgery, lymph node removal, radiation, chemotherapy, medications, ports, scar tissue and the risk of lymphedema can all affect how a massage should be approached.
Jan is trained in oncology massage, which means she has specialized education in adapting massage for people who are living with cancer, undergoing treatment, or have a history of cancer.
That may mean adjusting pressure, positioning, the length of a session or even the areas being worked on based on each person’s individual circumstances.
If you have questions about whether oncology massage may be appropriate for you, reach out to Jan to start the conversation.

World Mental Health Day is a reminder that caring for yourself isn't limited to what other people can see.
Stress can show up in the body, too. Tight shoulders, tense muscles, restless sleep, headaches, or simply feeling like you can never fully relax can all be signs that you've been carrying a lot.
Taking care of your mental well-being can include many things: talking with someone you trust, getting enough rest, setting boundaries, moving your body, spending time doing things you enjoy, and sometimes simply giving yourself permission to slow down.
At The Touch 4 Health & Wellness, we believe caring for the body can be one part of caring for the whole person. Massage and other wellness services aren't a replacement for mental health care, but they can provide something many of us need more often: intentional time to rest, decompress, and reconnect with ourselves.
This World Mental Health Day, make a little room for yourself, too. 💜
Our Breast Cancer Awareness initiative is in full swing! We just chose our first 2 nominees for this week and look forward to the other nominees for the rest of the month.
Mission: Nominate a Breast cancer survivor to receive a complimentary Oncology focused Experience; One massage/bodywork and one Skincare will be offered per week.
Send the nominee's name and contact info to [email protected] or (352)818-5542/(954)336-3734
